click to enlarge Wesley 1-2 years old, Red and White, Cocker Spaniel, Wesley is a small Cocker but extra large in good looks. His beautiful coat of red and white is groomed to a bright luster. He was loved and well cared for by his family but the landlord changed rules midstream and they were unable to keep him. They dropped him at the shelter and his eyes wander as if he is looking for his family still. Rest assured that once he is established in his new home he will have eyes only for his new family. He is neutered, micro chipped and current on all vaccines. This splendid fellow is about 2 years old and weighs 20 pounds. click to enlarge Russet 1-2 years old, White and Tan, Terrier mix, Fluffy and light like a perfectly baked potato this 9 pound boy is sure to be everyone's favorite. If you don't like your potato baked there's always fried or mashed, but however you do it, Russet is a treat. He's sweet and gentle but enjoys a good romp with other dogs. He'll be equally content to hang around the house with the family any day of the week. Whatever is your pleasure, he will be your treasure. Russet is neutered, micro chipped and current on all vaccines. click to enlarge Happy 2 years old, Cream color, Pomeranian, Good things come in small packages and this one is about 5 pounds. Life was fine with "mom," an older woman who named her puppy Happy. Happy was well cared for and well, happy. An accident occurred to Happy's leg and "mom" took care of it as best she could. But "mom" took ill and could no longer care for her beloved companion. She gave her to a neighbor whose landlord decreed, no pets. We were standing at the shelter desk where she came to leave Happy. "Please help her she begged us. She's a young dog, house trained, sweet and friendly." One look from Happy was all it took for us. Although she had been spayed, Happy's leg had not been repaired properly. Surgery was completed and though she is a 3 legged dog, she should be running around like a champ in a couple of days. It will be hard to resist carrying her around but a walk is good exercise for all. Who is a happy young dog who loves to play with toys and people and other dogs? Who is kind of a scruffy little terrier, 13 pounds, white and tan, with a delightful under bite when she smiles? It's Riddle of course. Plan to see those pearly whites a lot because she really does smile! Her coat was groomed and trimmed so it will get somewhat longer, another surprise, just wait and see. If you answered Terri Poo then you are right. In Clark's case it is a perfect mix. He's 15 pounds, not quite small, not quite medium, just the right size for any home. Clark has the kind of coat that will shed very little. He will need brushing and grooming to keep up his good looks. As a matter of fact watching him get groomed was a pleasure. He seemed to really enjoy being fussed over. He is ready to go to his forever home. He is neutered, micro chipped and current on his vaccines. click to enlarge Nissan 2-3 years old, White and Brown, Shih Tzu, Nissan is a streamlined model, a glossy brown and white coat, a 9 pound engine that will be guaranteed to give you many years of good use and happiness. Maintenance will be minimal, grooming several times a year and just the right amount of good food to keep him running in tip top shape. Though Nissan is young, he has juvenile cataracts forming on his eyes. Our commitment to finding him a loving home is total so we are prepared to have corrective surgery performed on both eyes. This would be best done once he is settled at home because post operatively he will need to be quiet and have eye drops several times daily for 2-3 weeks. The sooner he finds a loving home the better he will do. He is very sweet and loving and should enjoy a happy life. He's perfect in every other way, neutered, micro chipped and current on all shots.
