1 year old, Red Merle, Australian Shepherd, Aussie love has arrived, inevitable as the full moon and the tides. Stanford is a red merle Australian Shepherd, as gentle and loving as he is handsome. He is about average size for a male, a slender 45 pounds with a lovely red, brown and white coat. Stanford is looking for a home where he will be your only dog because he wants all the toys and all the food bowls for himself. You must be familiar with the activity needs of a herding dog in terms of energy and training. Stanford needs to catch up on training because he seems to have had very little. He is happiest being next to his people but seems ok with other dogs on his walks and hikes. He is as energetic as you might expect from a young dog of his breed but he can calm down and plop over for a belly rub too. Stanford has been around children and is good with them but his high energy and drive will be too much for small children. He is neutered, micro chipped and has received a full set of shots. This gorgeous boy is looking for a home with an active, committed family.
