Sysco
3 years Tri-color Spaniel mix. Found next to a dumpster, Sysco is actually lucky he landed in a shelter. The poor little guy was covered in ticks from head to tail. Our wonderful friend at the shelter, though, worked her magic, and Sysco is now tick-free and ready to start a new life. He’s a loving soul who will be just as happy snuggling by your side as he will be strolling next to you on leisurely walks. As adorable as he is sweet, Sysco will fill your life with joy as only a cuddly canine can. He weighs 12 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, and currrent on all vaccines.

Sophie
7 years White Maltese/Terrier mix Thrown away without a second thought.... That’s what happened to sweet Sophie just a few days ago. After living her entire life with a woman, she was dumped in the shelter because she was uncomfortable around the woman’s 7-month-old twin grandchildren. Can you really blame her, though, for having difficulty dealing with two newly-crawling babies who were allowed to invade her space at will without adequate supervision? We certainly don’t and so are very happy to welcome Sophie to Perfect Pet Rescue. At 16 pounds, she is now spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. A loving little soul, Sophie would prefer living in a home where tail pulling, eye poking, and ear grabbing are not permitted. Basically, she yearns for a peaceful life with people who will love and respect her; and, in return, she will be your devoted companion forevermore.

Gabby
5 years White and tan Shih Tzu Gabby is the definition of resilient. Before we picked her up from the shelter, we were informed she had two masses on her abdomen. Gabby’s demeanor, however, bespoke a happy dog who didn’t seem to have a care in the world. She instantly clamored for our affection and bestowed upon us her own in the form of loving kisses. The two masses ended up being cancerous and were removed. Gabby is currently cancer-free and doing quite well. She’s a happy, playful, silly girl with a lot of life left to live. Once you gain her trust (back scratches help!), she’ll be your loyal pal forever. At 15 pounds, Gabby is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and housebroken!

Bailey
4 years Brown, black, tan, gray Beagle/German Shepherd mix. While all dogs tug at our heartstrings, Bailey immediately jumped into our hearts, and we simply could not leave her behind. Adopted from the shelter a month ago, Bailey thought her dreams had finally come true. Instead, she was thrust into a nightmare worse than the one she’d been living. She simply could not handle the family’s chaotic lifestyle and literally retreated into a corner, shaking and hoping they would just forget she was there. For Bailey’s sake, however, fate stepped in. Perfect Pet Rescue just happened to be at the shelter when the family arrived to return her. One look into her soulful eyes, and we knew she was a very special gal. Bailey is now safe with us and learning what it is like to live in a relatively stress-free environment with loving volunteers and other perfect pets. As her fear subsides, her confidence will grow, and lucky will be the family that adopts her. She is fine with other medium to large dogs and is learning that no person will ever hurt her again. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. So, open your heart. Bailey will move right in!

Jayda
2 1/2 years White Beagle mix Having spent her whole life on a patio with her mom and three siblings, Jayda is discovering there is an entire world waiting for her to explore. At 16 pounds, Jayda is a bit shy; but look into her soulful eyes, and you won't be able to miss her sweet, gentle spirit and all the love she can't wait to shower upon her new furever family. She will be happy sharing her furever family with another dog or being their one and only. Jayda is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines.

Rocky
5 years old, Red and White. Labrador / Basset Hound mix, Rocky is a bit of a low rider, but he has the stamina and energy to keep up with the big dogs. He’s a medium-sized dog at 54 pounds, but being low to the ground doesn't mean he has low energy. He's an active dog and will be a great family dog because he is so sweet and friendly. He thought he’d found his forever home; but after four years, his family decided they just did not want him any longer. So, now, Rocky is back with us and waiting to settle right into his real forever home. Give him the opportunity to show you what a good boy he is, and you will never regret your decision to share your love and home with him. He is neutered, micro chipped and current on his shots.

Chispa
COURTESY POSTING: 12 years Black and white Chihuahua mix. At first glance, Chispa appears to be like any other diminutive Chihuahua mix.....just a wisp of a dog who wants only to nestle in your arms. Chispa is, however, a classic example of the old saying ‘big things come in small packages’. She may weigh a mere 4 pounds, but she is a little spark that fills a room. She knows what she likes and is not afraid to let everyone know. In spite of the fact that her owner of the past six years can no longer care for her, Chispa seems fairly comfortable in the world and is looking forward to spending the rest of her life with her new person. She knows that, this time, it will be for keeps. To spend time with Chispa is to be surprised that this spry little lady is actually 12 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Before you swoop her up and take her home, she does have one secret she wants to share with you. She is much more comfortable with men than with women; but with a little patience and a lot of love, she’ll be happy with whoever decides to open their heart and let her in.

we always have a variety of small dogs looking for a home!
